I will be in Artist Alley at Detroit Fanfare this weekend, Oct. 26th, 27th, and 28th, selling all the usual wares, prints, sketches, and comics. The con will be at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dearborn, MI. I’m hoping things go a lot smoother than last year, when the con was at Cobo Hall. That venue caused a lot of unnecessary headaches.

They have a lot of great artists this year, including one of my faves, Yannick Paquette.

I recommend that any nerds in the Detroit area attend. Three day tickets are only $15 – cheap!

More process pages. Less changes to this page than page one.

This is from a project I’m working on with writer Alex De-Gruchy. It’s a monster comic that we co-created called Uncommon Thieves.

It is really is a dream project. Unfortunately, my endless compulsion to change and “correct” things can tend to get a little out of hand. Thankfully, I have Alex to bounce ideas off of. Here is my process for pencilling and inking page one. As you can see, there were many versions, even more than posted here. Anyway, enjoy!

And, finally, the inks!

Batman sketch, done with Copic Markers and Pitt Artist Pens. I drew this as a warm up for Wizard World Chicago (which was awesome).

I’ll be at Wizard World Chicago this weekend, Aug 9th-12th at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Artist Alley table #4025. I love Chicago, and I’m sure the con will be a blast. I will have two new prints for sale, in addition to comics and sketches. Come by and say hello, and I’ll give you a free print!
